POSTAGE STAMP C47 1/144 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Nicknamed "The Skytrain," the C47 was a military transport aircraft with multiple uses. Its versatility extended from carrying cargo including munitions and supplies, to towing troop-carrying gliders, dropping paratroopers into enemy territory, and picking up sick or wounded patients.

This twin-engine, low-winged monoplane featured light, all-metal alloy construction. Its control surfaces were fabric-covered and it was operated by a three-person crew including a pilot and co-pilot in the cockpit, and a radio operator sitting in a compartment behind them.
